vacation detox
My 4 weeks of recovery is over (and not a minute to soon)... and so is my work vacation (which I wish wouldn't end). Tomorrow I'm back into the routine of exercising each morning (though not running yet), eating healthy and getting back on track.Honestly... I'm not being a drama queen when I say... I'm in a state of shock as to the level of muscle tone that I've lost over the last 4 weeks... but especially in the last week.
My butt... that I worked so hard to define and tone over the last year has seriously widened and isn't firm like it was before my surgery and my thighs... don't even get me started... they freakin' giggle people! I'm still smaller then I was before my surgery but the muscle definition is GONE! I'm sort of freaking out over it and hope this is just a temporary set-back and that my body will "bounce back"!
I seriously could be cast in the spoof of Baby's Got Back... but I'd rather be in the the sequel to the original!
Tomorrow morning will be my first workout since the surgery. My friend Katrina is going to meet me for a intense... high-speed walk (since I still can't do high-impact exercise yet we'll go as fast as we can like running without the bounce)... we'll probably go for 45 mins or so (assuming I don't collapse). Kat is super fit so I'm sure she'll put me through my paces... which is just what I need... well ontop of some quality girlfriend time... that's always a bonus!
