Healing Hands
As someone who has never taken a biology course... I'm always amazed by people who understand how our bodies work... the organs... the muscles... basically anything that goes on beneath the skin... it's all somewhat a mystery to me. I guess for some people... they think the same when I talk about web design or search engine ranking... but to me web technology seems so easy... but body functions... that's science! My recovery has been going great with exception to some fluid build-up in my arms (which they say is pretty common). It doesn't seem to matter if I put my hands above my head for 30 minutes or compress my arms in spandex shirts... the fluid just doesn't want to go away... well that is until I went to see Paulette at Natural Path. That woman has serious healing hands. Now if I would just follow her directions at home of alternating heat and ice maybe I wouldn't still be having these issues between my visits to her (I promise Paulette... I'll start tonight)!
This afternoon I was amazed to see how one hour of manual lymph drainage (how sexy does that procedure sound) took down my swelling... you could see that the fluid had reduced to at least half it's size just as a result of whatever magical techniques Paulette applied. Though it shouldn't surprise me that she was able to help with my fluid retention... she also did wonders for me when my hip flex got messed up a few months back!
Big hug and thank-you to Paulette for helping me during my recovery... my arms feel good enough that I can type again! I'm not exaggerating when I say... I'm quite certain that every time I leave Natural Path that I add about 1 year onto my life! Even if you aren't injured and you just want to relax... get her to do some facial and head massage... I give you my personal guarantee... you seriously won't want to leave their clinic!
When I was leaving, Paulette's business partner Bronwen suggested that I drink some Fennel Tea to help further with bloating and fluid retention. In the next month... Bronwen is going to start helping reduce my surgery scars... she's got extensive experience in breaking down scar tissue and I'm all about having less scars... especially come bikini time! I'm not sure I'll post pictures of my scars but I'll definitely discuss it in the blog!

Michelle, I am completely amazed and awestruck at your commitment to YOU! I met you almost 2 years ago and quite honestly, if I hadn't been following your progress on FB, I think I would have passed you on the street without knowing it. You look HOT! And I bet you feel even better. Yes, mys sis is amazing with her healing hands, isn't she? But a warning: do what she says or she will seriously hurt you! Nah, I'm just kidding: she saves those mysterious pressure points that bring me to my knees just for ME, for all of the rotten things I did to her when we were younger (although she deserved every one of them!) Congratulations on your continued hard work and for being such an inspiration to many!
