Cheesie reality check!
Brown bag saturated with cheesie fat!On the weekend we had some friends over for a BBQ. Customary for every treat day (especially at BBQs)... I eat cheesies. I don't know what it is about cheesies, but I freakin' love them... well until now anyway!
We never end up finishing an entire bag of cheesies on treat day (that would just be ridiculous and complete gluttony). The problem with cheesies... is that once the bag is open... they really are only good for a few hours. If there is any humidity and they lose their crunch... then the cheesies just become gross and soggy (totally not worth the calories or cholesterol without the crunch).
This weekend on treat day... we (mostly me) ate cheesies... but there was at least a half bag (maybe more) left. On Sunday, we usually turf uneaten temptations to ensure that I stay on track... I've got some willpower... but I am only human... and an open bag of cheesies during any stressful situation... there is a high probability that the cheesies might get eaten!
Being a recycling and composting family, we threw the uneaten cheesies into a brown bag to go into the green bin. The brown bag wasn't full yet, so it just stayed on our counter over night. By Monday morning, I almost threw up when I realized the amount of fat that soaked into the brown bag was just from the cheesies (see photo)! I might have to change my ultimate treat to something else... I just cannot believe my eyes! Look at the bag... the dark brown on the bag is fat from the cheesies! This has ruined cheesies for me (for at least the short-term anyway)!
Why is it that in life... the things we enjoy the most are usually the worst things for us?

THAT is gross!
